God’s Mercy and Israel’s Unfaithfulness
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
~ Isaiah 43:19
We take micro-moments with the new year to drop in a word from God as we have our eye toward the future this week. What new things is your Heavenly Father working on for you, with you, and through you?
Thank You Jesus – and You Father and Spirit – for Your reliable nature, for Your always-good-for-Your-Word promises, for Your constant presence in my life. I can trust that You will always be there for me as You have been through the years. Now ask God to help with upcoming matters in the new year… (think family, work, faith, friends, relationships with Him and others, health, etc.). then finish with: I look forward to Your presence now, throughout the new year, and into eternity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
A song of ascents. Of Solomon.
Read the versus of the Psalm.
Mark the words or phrases that catch your attention.
Meditate: talk (or better, write) with God about those words. Ask him to impress things upon your heart and mind; expect responses.
[God] is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
Today I breathe = Today I praise God;
If tomorrow I breathe, then tomorrow I praise God.
